International Industrial Rope Technology Association(IRATA)
IRATA International is the world's recognized authority in the field of industrial rope technology. Founded in 1988 in the UK as the Industrial Ropes Access Trade Association, the name IRATA International has grown with the increase in membership worldwide. The aim of the association is to promote and develop the safety systems it has pioneered since its inception and to support its member companies and trained technicians so that they can work in a safe and efficient manner.
Based in the UK, the IRATA Association's main focus is on the development of rigorous technical guidelines and training standards. The main guidance documents are the IRATA ICOP (International Code of Practice) and the IRATA TACS (Training and Accreditation Certification Scheme), which are also contained in the British Standard BS7985 system and the ISO22846 Technical Standard for Technical Systems for Ropes, which was published in 2012.
The ROPE ACCESS promoted by IRATA is a unique two-rope operation, i.e., each operator uses two ropes on his/her body during operation, one for the working line and one for the safety line, so that when the working rope breaks or snapped in case of accidents, the operator still has a safety line to protect his/her work safety.
Statistics have shown,  none of the rope operators in the world using the IRATA technique during 1999 to 2012 had died. Proven enough that the IRATA promotion of rope technology is very safe. Currently, the Labor Inspection Department of Taipei also approved the use of rope technology in line with the IRATA system to perform aerial work!

ROPE ACCESS
Rope access is a special and specialized way of working at height, using rope access allows workers to reach many difficult to reach terrain, including cranes, aerial work trucks, cages and scaffolds and other ways that aren't able to perform the work. Rope access is often used in building maintenance, offshore oil drilling platforms, oil tanks, large wind turbines, non-destructive testing and other work environments.

Why use ROPE ACCESS?
Rope Access is a cost-effective alternative to traditional construction methods, especially in the case of super high place, inaccessible to cranes and in special environments.
The advantages of rope access are as follows:

  • Set up and dismantle fast

  • Accurate access to the working position

  • Minimized disruption to the original business and reduced equipment downtime

  • No restriction to small working space, work can be done at any time

  • Reduces the use of heavy equipment (cranes, hoists, scaffolds, etc.), effectively reducing costs.

IRATA Level 1 Training Axis
IRATA Level 1 course is an introduction to rope access, the purpose is to allow partners with little or no experience to obtain professional and correct rope access operations and concepts. In the training process we will continue to carry out practical training, so that trainees can familiarize themselves with the first level rope access. After the training and obtaining a certificate, they can clearly understand Level 2 or Level 3 technician's instructions in the workplace.

Assessment

After completing the four-day training, IRATA will arrange for an independent foreign examiner to assess the skills of the trainees. Passing the examiner's assessment is the only way to obtain a Level 1 certificate, which shows that IRATA's system is rigorous, and because of this, it is only worthwhile to obtain this certificate after you have passed the assessment and completed the training.
